The retreat venue, Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort, is located about two hours north east of Seattle in the beautiful Cascade Mountains of Washington State, and just moments from the charm of Leavenworth. Google Map of retreat location.

BASICS IF ARRIVING/DEPARTING SEATTLE’S MAIN SEATAC AIRPORT:

You will need the following:

1.)  You will need to get from SEATAC Airport to the King Street Station (in downtown Seattle) by 2:00 pm on Friday, March 15th to catch our charter bus to the retreat. (Best option is take light rail but there are other more expensive options like shuttle or taxi. Info about the light rail is below.) The light rail runs every 10 to 15 minutes and costs less than $10.00.

2.)  The light rail from SEATAC Airport will deliver you to your stop in about 20 minutes: the International District Light Rail Station. From there, it is a one and a half block walk to the King Street Station. (The King Street Station is a heavy rail station where your charter bus will be parked and waiting for you.)

3.)  From the King Street Station, our Charter bus will deliver you to the retreat’s front door. The ride will be a wonderfully scenic mountain ride shared exclusively with your retreat community for about 2 and a half hours.

4.)  The above will work in reverse for your departure.

INCLUDED IN THE RETREAT PRICE:  is chartered coach bus from Seattle to Sleeping Lady and return to Seattle. This chartered coach bus is included and is the only transportation included. The chartered coach bus will depart and return to the King Street Rail Station in downtown Seattle, WA.  The chartered bus’ planned departure time from the Sleeping Lady Resort on Sunday, March 17th is 3pm.  Upon its return to Seattle, the chartered bus will stop first at King Street Station in downtown Seattle and then at SeaTac airport. Check back to this page for the exact departure time (hour should be 2:00 pm and not earlier) and location.

BASICS IF ARRIVING/DEPARTING SEATTLE’S MAIN SEATAC AIRPORT but you want to arrive earlier or stay longer, meaning, not take our scheduled charter bus to the retreat, (any alternate travel you may elect is NOT INCLUDED in your retreat package):

1.)  If you will NOT be taking the charter bus included in your package, we advise you’d take scenic Amtrak heavy rail to the retreat. There are still other options to get to the retreat site in Leavenworth, WA, but they are all far more expensive, like ten (10) times as expensive. Amtrak will cost less than $40 round trip ticket. To take Amtrak, you will need to get from SEATAC Airport to the King Street Station (in downtown Seattle) to catch the Amtrak passenger train. Best option is take the light rail to the International District station that is adjacent the Amtrak heavy rail station (King Street Station.) Info about using the light rail is below; the light rail runs every 10 to 15 minutes and costs less than $10. There are other more expensive options for getting to the King Street Station, like shuttle or private taxi for perhaps $50 to $60?

2.)  The light rail from SEATAC Airport will deliver you to your stop in about 15 minutes: the International District Light Rail Station. From there, it is a one and a half block walk to the King Street Station. (The King Street Station is a heavy rail station where you can take Amtrak to Leavenworth, WA.)

3.) After you arrive by Amtrak in Leavenworth, WA, you will be about 2.6 miles from the retreat venue, Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort. You will need transportation from the Amtrak rail station to the resort venue. There is a small local taxi service in Leavenworth. (Info is below.) You will need to arrange a ride from the station to the retreat venue. Please make the taxi reservation far in advance, it is a very small taxi company. 4.)  March 17th at 3:00pm: Chartered coach’s planned departure time Sleeping Lady for Seattle, stopping first at King Street Station and then at SeaTac Airport.


AIRPORT TO SEATTLE:

From Seattle’s SEATAC airport, Seattle’s primary airport (SEA), there is regular light rail that represents roughly, a 32 minute ride that is inexpensive (less than $10)  between the airport and the International District/Chinatown Light Rail Station. The International District/Chinatown Light Rail Station is a two (2) block walk (to the west) to the King Street Rail Station. The cost of the light rail ticket is not included.

There is no pricing adjustment available for retreat goers arranging independent alternate transportation.

AMTRAK: SEATTLE TO RETREAT OPTION
(not included in retreat price)

[NOTE on taking the scenic train ride to retreat: Retreat goers have an option to independently arrange travel from Seattle’s King Street Rail Station, (or elsewhere), taking Amtrak Rail to Leavenworth, (stops just 2.6 miles from Sleeping Lady Resort.) Upon rail arrival in Leavenworth, take a prearranged (private/limited service) taxi or shuttle to the resort from Leavenworth. Retreat goers must take  initiative to both prearrange and independently pay for all associated costs without reimbursement. The Amtrak rail ticket is roughly $30-to-$40 round trip. Schedule is limited and the evening rail schedule to Leavenworth is after dark and thus largely non-scenic. The return trip to Seattle is daytime hours, weather providing, the mountain scenery for nearly the whole ride, is magnificent. Specific travel reservations with Amtrak from Seattle to Leavenworth or from Leavenworth to Seattle (if desired, don’t forget reservations both ways) can be made independently on this page.
